Steps to Troubleshooting

We will assume that your Internet was working in the first phase. If you are setting it up for the first time, the steps below were not designed for that purpose. You must follow the instructions that come with your router or modem.

Restart the computer

The first step should be to restart your computer or device to see if it fixes the problem. You will be amazed at how often this simple step solves problems.

If restarting your computer or device doesn't work, you need to check every possible problem area to see if it restores access.

Check out these areas

The following are one or more of the most commonly reported problems with Internet diagnostic loss:

Your computer is disconnected from the network (check network settings.

A proxy has been added to your browser or operating system.

Your high speed modem and / or router needs to be restarted or offline.

Disconnected network cable (if your computer is connected);

Your computer needs to be restarted.

Your firewall or security software is incorrectly configured. Or

Your software is incorrectly configured to access the Internet.

Follow the tips on this page to try an alternative solution. I have presented them in such a way that if you were to look into the problem and find a solution, you would probably move on.

ISP matters

If the problem is with your ISP or (rarely) a regional access issue, the solution is out of your control. All you have to do is wait for your ISP or Internet infrastructure to fix the problem.

Everything is connected through a network

Everything related to Internet connection issues is related to the operation of different networks. Unless the problem is directly related to your computer or device (tablet, smartphone, virtual assistant, smart device), it will include your own network or a task ahead of the series.

I will use the terms computer and device together, as they differ in how they are configured to connect to the Internet.

A network is a collection of computers and other devices connected and talking to each other.

The most immediate network in your home or business (your home network).

Next is your connection to the ISP (Second Network).

Your ISP connects to the Internet (a global network) through a regional repository of related networks.

Let's take a look at how each of these can be included in the chain of communication from your computer to the website or service you are trying to reach.

Your home network

Your most basic home network is your computer that connects directly to the modem provided by your ISP (usually via a router or router / modem combination).

The router provides access to the Internet, as well as all other devices connected to your network. Whether these devices can communicate with each other (ie, share information) depends on how the network and devices are configured.

Your network should be protected with strong passwords for both your router and your Wi-Fi.

Your ISP

Your ISP (Shaw, Tales, Rogers, etc.) provides your Internet network through its own network (which includes all of its users' networks).

Your ISP then connects to an additional Internet connection network (originally designed to counter a nuclear attack by automatically switching to any available route).

No Internet access

The following steps assume that there is no Internet access. Certain websites and ISPs that have nothing to do with your computer or its settings may be blocked.

Troubleshooting measures

Try the following sequence to see in order if it solves your problem. You can pause when you are solving this problem.
Check the network icon (or your wireless connection settings) to see if you have Internet access. Make sure your network adapter is not turned off.

Check for changes in the proxy settings.

Check your network cables if your computer is connected to the router.

Restart your router.

Check your firewall or security software. Troubleshooting zone alarm problems are specific troubleshooting measures.

Check your browser access problems or email problems.

The following sections will expand these steps in a series of instructions. Where Linux is identified, I have based it on Linux Mint, the version I am currently working with.

Use IDM Crack
